A Tathra eco-tourism business has won Silver while a volunteer-led South Coast Information Centre has taken home Bronze at the prestigious NSW Tourism Awards in Sydney last night (Thursday November 17).
Now into it’s 31st year – the NSW Tourism Awards celebrate and acknowledge tourism businesses that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success.
Jess Taunton’s, Navigate Expeditions specialise in providing people with a new way to experience the outdoors and natural environments through immersive nature based experiences that give back.
Jess said she and the team were thrilled to take home the Silver award in the New Tourism Business category on Thursday night.
Navigate Expeditions offers an immersive, regenerative travel experience for the environmentally conscious traveller.
According to their website, when leaving a Navigate Expeditions tour you will “look back and see a positive impact that you and your co-travellers have had and leave with a feeling of achievement and satisfaction that you’ve travelled and left the environment in a better place.”
Bowral’s Italian Cooking Experience with Stefano Marvello was named winner of the NSW Tourism Awards for New Tourism Business.
The South Coast had three representatives vying for awards with Eden Visitor Information Centre taking home Bronze in the category of Visitor Information Services.
The Eden Visitor Information Centre won the 2021 Judges Tourism Star Award for the resilience shown during a year impacted by floods, bushfires, and COVID-19.
The Eurobodalla Food Trail campaign by Eurobodalla Council was a finalist in the Tourism Marketing & Campaigns category.
Council’s tourism team worked with more than 80 local businesses to create the Food trail – with an interactive map!
It helps producers sell their goods and shows where our food really comes from.
As finalists in the NSW Tourism Awards, the team said they are proud to celebrate the diversity of food and drink across the Eurobodalla Shire.
