A VET Trainer is responsible for the delivery of quality vocational education and training and for conducting assessments acknowledging compliance and within prescribed timeframes. The Trainer will work as directed within arranged areas related to their field of expertise and qualifications. Successful applicants will hold the minimum vocational teaching qualification.
Conduct face-to-face classroom tuition in line with the national training package requirements (HLT54115 - Diploma of Nursing)
Complete assessment documentation promptly and accurately;
Participate in post and pre-assessment validation meetings;
Carry out work placement visits, and complete workplace observations
TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as well as TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills and TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Relevant vocational qualification at the Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree level combined with an approved number of years industrial/professional experience.
Current Nursing Registration (AHPRA)
Sound knowledge of current industry standards and demonstrable evidence of industry currency (Able to demonstrate recent and relevant industry experience and ongoing employment/activity).
Understanding of AQTF compliance, and the relevant Training Package.
Excellent interpersonal, time-management and communication skills with an ability to communicate and support a wide range of learners.
Ability to engage, lead, mentor and encourage students in a classroom and create a welcoming classroom environment.
Sound computer skills.
A current National Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check.
Current driver's licence.
