Council is seeking to increase our list of casual staff who provide administrative and customer support services at our libraries during periods of staff absence or high workload.

Casual work requires a degree of flexibility as there is no guaranteed or set pattern of work. Should a placement become available, the hours and days would be negotiated at the time of that offer. You will need to be available to work at two of our three library locations.

Council’s libraries operate seven days a week between 10.00am - 4.00pm.

If engaged, total remuneration for the role is in the range $41.53 to $42.82 gross per hour consisting of:
• $30.20 to $31.14 base salary,
• $7.55 to $7.79 casual loading (calculated at 25%), plus
• $3.78 to $3.89 superannuation (at 10%)

Skill Required

Catering to a diverse range of clients, a Library Officer requires a commitment to the delivery high quality customer service in a busy environment. You will carry out library collection, circulation and administrative duties and assist with basic computer use.

If you are a customer focused team player with great communication skills, have experience in customer service and are available for casual placements, we are keen to hear from you.

Previous experience in a library environment is an advantage.
