The value of properties in Batemans Bay are going backwards.
That the finding following analysis of sales data over the past three months by Cotality.
Economist Kaytlin Ezzy said this goes against the trend being experienced across the state.
“Looking at the results of the past three months, Batemans Bay seen values fall by 1.1%,” Ms Ezzy said.
“It was one of only two regional markets in NSW to fall,” she said.
The other was in the Southern Highlands.
At the same time Batemans Bay stands out when trying to enter the property market.
“For those looking to get into the market, they aren’t seeing that same urgency that same FOMO as some of your other markets are,” Ms Ezzy said.
“Values are still sitting 8 to 9 percent below their previous peaks so buyers could get into the market at that lower price point,” she said.
