Council confims no increase to Passenger Landing Fee at Merimbula Airport

Merimbula Airport

Bega Valley Shire Council has apologised to the airlines servicing Merimbula Airport over a passenger landing fee increase.

Following a letter from Rex Airlines where they threatened to reduce their services over the fee increase, Council says it was an oversight that resulted in an increase being included in their annual Fees and Charges document.

Council will remove the revised landing fee from the Fees and Charges document before the June 28 Council meeting.

If a proposed increase to passenger landing fees is considered in the future, they reassure both airlines and the community that it will be discussed with all stakeholders.
