Wet weekend forecast for the Far South Coast


The Far South Coast is being warned to brace for a deluge of rain over the weekend.

A low pressure system is building across the east coast of Australia, and is expected to hit the region late Thursday, before deepening on Friday with 20-40mm of rainfall expected across the coast.

The rain will continue on Saturday with up to 10mm forecast for the north, while the south could get a drenching of up to 20mm.

The wet weather is expect to ease on Sunday with mostly sunny conditions.

Meanwhile Sydney is also set for a wet weekend with up to 20mm of rain expected on Friday, while up to 10mm is forecast for Saturday.
