Council lifts Boil Water Notice

Glass Water

Bega Valley residents no longer have to boil their water before use.

A precautionary boil water notice for residents connected to the Brogo-Bermagui water supply has been lifted.

Effective immediately, Quaama, Cobargo, Bermagui, Beauty Point, Fairhaven, Wallaga Lake, Wallaga Lake Heights, Wallaga Lake Koori Village and Akolele locals will no longer have to boil their tap water after turbidity levels from the river continued to fall below the required threshold.

The Boil Water Notice was implemented last Monday by Bega Valley Shire Council and NSW Health following heavy rainfall in the catchment.
